Andrea Busiri Vici, sofa in velvet and metal, Italy, 1960s.
This elegant sofa features an aquamarine, light-blue velvet. The term organic seems to be invented for this settee as it resembles something like a rock formation or waved entity. On the other hand, this settee is classy and has a stately, almost royal appearance. Please note that the fabric is in an aged condition and that this sofa needs to be re-upholstered.
Andra Busiri Vici (1903-1989) was an Italian architect who amongst other things designed the Italian Pavillon for the New York World Fair in 1939.
