Simplistic and functional table designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa. The table straight legs that have a folded, angular shape. This creates a beautiful play of shadows. Executed of Italian walnut, and with the possibility to extend the tabletop thank to the additional leafs hidden below the top. The dimensions of the table without leafs are W 132 x D 95 x H 72 cm.
The table shows signs of age and use with scratches and marks on the surface. The experienced craftsmen in our in-house atelier can restore this if desired.
Afra (1937-2011) & Tobia (1935) Scarpa both studied on the Venice Institute of Architecture. Tobia first worked for the Italian glass manufacturer Venini. From 1960 on the couple opened their own design office. Their work includes architecture and everyday items like furniture and clothing. Tobia & Afra designed for numerous major Italian and international companies like Flos, Gavina, B&B Italia, Cassina, Knoll International and many interior projects for numerous companies worldwide.
