Early and rare lounge chair by Acton Bjørn in a beautiful cognac colored Niger leather with patinated oak armrest. Warm and inviting piece with a sculptural backrest and beautiful detailing on the oak wooden armrests. The original leather has a beautiful patina, giving the appearance of the chair extra depth.

Acton Bjørn (1910-1992) was a Danish designer and architect who was educated at the Art Academy in Copenhagen. He worked in Copenhagen for the majority of his career and led the Acton Bjørn studio between 1966 and 1990.

Please note that this item is in good, used condition. The leather shows patina and some signs of age and use, common for pieces this age.
