Art Deco Pair of Lounge Chairs in Walnut and Floral Upholstery
Pair of lounge chairs, walnut, fabric, Italy, 1930s
These beautifully designed armchairs are created in one of the most influential periods for the arts namely the Art Deco Movement. The armrests are curved in a hemispherical shape which is typical for this epoch. The seating and backrest are upholstered in a delicate material illustrating fauna and flora motifs. The seat rests on a platform that is based on an elongated rectangular shaped frame, which creates a floating appearance. With its imposing appearance, this design is ably employed as either the heart of your interior or its focal point.
Please note that we advise reupholstery before use. This item might contain some threadbare upholstery with loose seams and small stains. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
