Sideboard in Oak by Danish Cabinetmaker

Sale price£8,762.36

Sideboard, oak, Denmark, 1950s

Originating from Denmark, this large cabinet is designed around the 1950s by a skilled cabinetmaker whose identity remains unknown. The designer clearly understood how to design a high-quality piece of furniture. An elegant piece of furniture, reflecting the design principles that were prevalent during that period of time. The present model features a solid corpus with four sliding-doors that embrace decorative carvings. The sculpted legs have an open look outweighing the heaviness of the upper part. The interior is equipped with drawers and shelves. The use of natural materials, well-conceived proportions, intricate carvings, and the high-level of craftsmanship, the designer blended all these elements that are characteristic for Danish Mid-Century Design into one piece of furniture. This design reminds of the Scandinavian design masters, such as Henning Kjærnulf.

Kindly note that the piece is in good, used condition with signs of age and use. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists.
