French Multifunctional Cabinet in Solid Elm

Sale price£1,728.28

Bar cabinet, elm, France, 1960s.

This multifunctional cabinet is of French origin and embraces naturalistic forms combined with bold accents. The elmwood material has an incredibly soft, visual texture that shows nice wooden grains. The slats are constructed in a biomorphic manner exposing undulating lines and hilly surfaces on which the light reflects beautifully. Functionality comes into play through the two functions this item embraces: you can simultaneously use it as a bar or as a cabinet. The latter has been established by the hidden built-in shelves behind the door panel. The elm squares are placed against a red background, which gives the design a vivid and lively expression. The integrated lights highlight the red surface in a whimsy manner.
