Adrian Pearsall, sofa, walnut, leatherette, USA, 1960s.
Beautiful sofa created by the American designer Adrien Pearsall. The sofa has a unique shape with sharp and geometric lines that create an almost monumental look. The American walnut frame shows exquisite craftsmanship and great proportions. Thanks to the slightly curved seat, two storage facilities are placed behind the backrest.
Adrian Pearsall (1925-2011), trained as an architectural engineer, was a sailor and interior designer. In 1952, Pearsall opened his own furniture company 'Craft Associates. Pearsall designed some of the most sensuous, gracious midcentury design pieces around, sharing many of the design aesthetics by Vladimir Kagan. His pieces are characterized by flamboyant curves, upswept shapes and stretched proportions.
Please note that we advise reupholstery before use. This can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsman in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
