Pair of Modernist cantilever chairs in birch veneer bentwood that is reminisent of the innovative early 1930s designs of Marcel Breuer and Finnish designer Alvar Aalto. This pair shows the revolutionary use of bentwood in a cantilevered all-wood structured frame. The bent backrest and seating show the beauty of the birchwood. The armrests flow into the legs, which are placed in a contrasting black lacquered base.
One of the chairs has a historic restoration underneath the seating.
