André Sornay for Atelier Sornay, cabinet, honduras mahogany, wood, metal, France, 1960s
Iconic midcentury cabinet by French designer Andre Sornay. With its geometric design and the combination of mahogany and white lacquered wood the appearance awakes the association with Japanese design. The wooden front panels form a dynamic geometric abstraction in cream color, which is framed by the main structure made of mahogany. This painted wardrobe has two big sliding doors, a hanger rod, and two interior shelves. On the top and bottom are smaller sliding doors offering more storage capacity.
Please note that the item shows signs of wear and use. The original lacquer misses chips. For more information about the condition and the possibilities to restore the item in our in-house restoration atelier, please don't hesitate to contact our design experts.
