Adrian Pearsall Sofa in Walnut and Rose Leatherette

Sale price$15,400.00

Adrian Pearsall, sofa, walnut, leatherette, United States, 1960s

Beautiful sofa created by the American designer Adrien Pearsall. The sofa has a unique shape with sharp and geometric lines that create an almost monumental look. The American walnut frame shows exquisite craftsmanship and great proportions. Thanks to the slightly curved inward ends, there is room behind both sides. That space behind the backrest is used in a great way, two cabinets are situated there in this wonderful design.

Adrian Pearsall (1925-2011), trained as an architectural engineer, was a sailor and interior designer. In 1952, Pearsall opened his own furniture company 'Craft Associates. Pearsall designed some of the most sensuous, gracious midcentury design pieces around, sharing many of the design aesthetics by Vladimir Kagan. His pieces are characterized by flamboyant curves, upswept shapes and stretched proportions.
